“Pastel”

IMG_20171027_3

Yes, I love him like pastel,
my pastel blue bucket bag.
Carry his heart on the edge of my sleeve
as though it is a childhood locket,
still holding my picture naked.

But there have been days,
dark, sinful days..
Days when sweet memories would fade out,
leaving behind the ghost of a man
haunting, dancing
on the delicate tight rope
between what was meant to be
and what should truly be.

Yes, I still love him like pastel,
my pastel blue bucket bag.
But nothing remains now,
So finally I pray…
“Oh Lord
when you
give me
my due,
Will you paint
my soul
inΒ  pastel blue…. ?”

      1. Thank you… I like writing more about complex topics, but off late I am really busy to think or concentrate on something serious.. Therefore posting my random thoughts… Hopefully, will soon come up with an important issue to ponder over …. 😊

      2. Yay.. I know it because your previous posts also were on some serious issues and topics. My english is not that well but yes because of writers like you I found myself compelled to read their writings.. ultimately benefitting me in improvement of my english literature 😊

    1. Finally you have read one of my works.. 😊Thank you so much ..❀ I usually don’t write such poems, this was a rare one.. Certain lines came to me when my new sling bag got delivered I guess.. 😁 I dwell more on a darker side usually..
